This editorial introduces the third issue of Resonancias Catequéticas, devoted to the study of the Directory for Catechesis, approved by Pope Francis in 2020 and published by the Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization. It places the document in continuity with previous catechetical directories and highlights its importance for the renewal of catechesis, the missionary conversion of Christian communities, and engagement with emerging cultural and ecclesial contexts. It also acknowledges the challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic and encourages a response grounded in Christian discernment and hope. The editorial then presents the contributions included in the thematic issue: the theological and pastoral foundations of catechesis, the historical development of the new Directory, and an examination of its three main parts, concerning the Church's evangelizing mission, the catechetical process, and catechesis in particular Churches. Finally, it highlights a study on catechetical preparation for marriage as an expression of the journal's commitment to theological education and student research. The editorial calls for a creative reception of the Directory that will contribute to renewing the Church's evangelizing mission.
