This article explores the construction of religious identity during adolescence and its implications for faith education and the renewal of catechesis. In a context shaped by globalization, secularization, changing family relationships, and the influence of digital technologies, it argues for an integral educational approach that addresses the personal, psychological, social, and spiritual development of young people. Drawing on developmental psychology, particularly the work of Erik H. Erikson, the author examines the gradual formation of identity, the importance of family and community relationships, and the role of religious experience in developing meaning, autonomy, and personal values. The article emphasizes that religious education cannot be reduced to doctrinal instruction or preparation for the sacraments; rather, it should foster meaningful experiences of faith, freedom, belonging, and commitment. Finally, it proposes pastoral orientations that recognize the central role of the family, the awakening of faith from early childhood, accompaniment during adolescence, and the capacity of Christian communities to provide intergenerational relationships and opportunities for human and spiritual growth.
