This editorial introduces the first issue of Resonancias Catequéticas in the context of the establishment of a specialization in Catechetical Theology at the Regional Centre for Theological Studies of Aragon (CRETA). The journal was founded to promote theological reflection and research in support of evangelization and the renewal of catechetical practice within local Churches. Under the theme “The Present and Future of Catechesis,” the issue primarily brings together papers presented at the Centre’s annual Theology Conference. These contributions examine the state of catechesis in Spain, emerging catechetical paradigms, the formation of religious identity during adolescence, the relationship between the Church and catechesis, and the encounter with Jesus Christ from educational and hermeneutical perspectives. The volume also includes a report on the Second International Congress of Catechists and a presentation of the Diocesan Directory for Catechesis of Zaragoza. The editorial emphasizes the journal’s academic, ecclesial, and missionary vocation as a forum for dialogue and reflection on the present and future challenges of catechesis.
