Editorial. Young People and Faith

Abstract

This editorial introduces the second issue of Resonancias Catequéticas, devoted to the relationship between young people and faith in light of Pope Francis’s post-synodal apostolic exhortation Christus vivit. It situates the publication within the synodal process on young people, faith, and vocational discernment, emphasizing listening, youth participation, and synodality as key elements in the renewal of the Church. The author outlines the issue’s contributions, which address the synodal journey, a biblical reading of the exhortation, the sociological realities of young people, the initial proclamation of the Christian message, and pastoral accompaniment for discernment. The editorial also introduces a report on an international meeting concerning the reception of Evangelii gaudium and a research summary on inclusive catechesis for children with autism spectrum disorder. Finally, it highlights the journal’s mission as a forum for theological and catechetical reflection associated with CRETA, serving the transmission of faith and the renewal of pastoral ministry with adolescents and young people.
